The family-run nature of the hotel was evident in the warm and attentive staff, who went above and beyond-keeping the kitchen open late to accommodate our arrival, which was a genuine act of hospitality for me and my travel companions. What truly sets Hotel Gitana apart is their well-organized tours, which highlight the unique ecological diversity of the area. Our excursions, led by knowledgeable guides, included encounters with scarlet macaws and toucans, enriching our understanding of this remarkable ecosystem. I wholeheartedly recommend indulging in the culinary delights at their restaurant as well-each dish, from the pesto chicken to the mahi-mahi with garlic sauce, was a delightful blend of home cooking with an American flair.
